About Me
I am a freelance journalist with experience in audio and video production, photography and written content, both online and print. I have previously been engaged with various different media organisations, where I have built a strong understanding of many areas of contemporary Journalism.
I always strive to provide compelling content without compromising the integrity of the profession. I am always eager to learn new skills and work hard to stay ahead of the curve, something which I believe to be vital in an industry as fast-moving as journalism.

My drive to learn more about the industry has led me to fulfilling a variety of roles, such as Online Content Editor, News Reporter and hosting and producing radio shows. My constant drive for professionalism helps me to consistently create content suitable for different audiences.

Work Experience
January 2018 - August 2018
Radio Presenter/Radio Producer - Costwold Hospital Radio
I hosted and produced a weekly show with the Hospital Radio Station. I always wanted to make the show sound as professional as possible, using industry standard techniques which I picked up during my time working with BBC Radio Devon. I made sure that I was aware of our audience and that the content was fun and accessible for anyone listening.
January 2017 - June 2018
Online Content Editor/News Reporter - The Cheltenham Standard

Initially, I started writing for the paper and adapted to writing different types of stories ranging from political stories to theatre and restaurant reviews. My work featured on multiple front pages, in which I broke stories about local government and serious criminal activity. This responsibility enabled me to build a solid network of connections, which helped me interview and meet with some of the most influential people in Cheltenham, the biggest name being local MP Alex Chalk.

Studio Assistant - BBC Radio Devon
I was an assistant for a series of live radio broadcasts of the popular Saturday morning show on BBC Radio Devon. I performed tasks to help keep the show running smoothly by researching subjects for upcoming news items and using clips from interviews to make news packages for live broadcast.

The Harry and Beau Radio Show
When setting up our radio show in university, Harry and I looked to produce entertaining shows that always involved our audience. We used professional radio techniques, our own unique branding and a well established social media presence to build a connection between us and our listeners.
