The Harry and Beau Podcast Show
The Harry and Beau Podcast show was my first foray into podcasting. My friend and I had already developed the branding for our radio show, making it easier to transition to pre-recorded and editable audio output.

We produced shows about different topics to show our adaptability and understanding of the industry. I actually used the show we produced for the Harry and Beau Podcast for my dissertation, in which I provided an examination of the podcasting industry and how it has developed over the last 10 years.
The dissertation was graded at a 2.1 and I believe that the style and quality of the podcasts I submitted, which followed the techniques used by various professional standard shows.

The Harry and Beau Radio Show
We set up the Harry and Beau Radio show after a successful module in my last year of university. Taking the positive feedback Harry and I set about creating the show and the branding. We knew from the start that it would be useful for our development to produce two different types of show. The Morning Show and The Opinion Show.

The Morning Show was our own interpretation of a typical morning radio show with an emphasis on the music. Think Capital radio or BBC Radio One. As the inspiration would suggest, the focus of the show was the music but we did try to involve the audience by setting up games and interaction using social media sites.

The Opinion Show was based on a station like LBC. It was all about creating discussion based on the biggest news of the week. These were the most valuable shows to produce as they allowed us to develop a conversation with our listeners who helped the show to keep moving without needing us to fill the air with waffle.

We also ran different social media accounts to spread our brand and to advertise when we were next live. As well as this, the social media presence were the ideal portal for listener interaction. We were able to receive questions and post polls based on the conversations we were having live on air.
